NYX Xtreme Lip Cream 'Nude Peach Fuzz'

NYX Xtreme lip cream is everything you love about a lipstick, lip gloss, lip stain & lip lacquer with intense pigmentation all rolled into one. A rich lip cream that glides smoothly onto the lip using the small smooth doe foot applicator. With 11 shades available I own the shade 'Nude Peach Fuzz'
Firstly I do have to note the horrible scent, it smells very similar to play doh which to me isn't the nicest smell to have on your lips. The scent does transfer to the lips but only lasts a minute or so & it isn't unbearable. I was quite shocked by the scent as NYX Lip products always have such lovely fruity scents, but unfortunately not this time.
With one swipe the colour is so intensely pigmented it amazing how opaque the lip butter is. It applies similarly to a lip lacquer with the sheen of a lip gloss. The lip butter feels very comfortable & smooth on the lips, for a product so smooth is does have great staying power & leaves behind a slight tint & sheen. It is unlike any other lip product I have ever tried.

On me 'Nude Peach Fuzz' is a creamy nude toned peach shade. In the summer with my tan, I lived in this shade it was gorgeous & even now the winter is here I do still reach for it as it such a wearable pretty shade & formula wise unlike any other.
So to sum up minus the play-doh like scent this Lip Butter is pretty darn amazing with its unique formula & intense colour.

NYX Butter Gloss Review & Swatches

The NYX Butter Glosses have been out in the U.S for quite some time now, & me being the impatient girl that I am needed to try them pronto so I ordered them from the U.S only for them to be released in the U.K two weeks after haha just my luck.
The Butter Gloss is a new gloss formula from NYX, providing a silky smooth application wih absolutely no stickiness & buttery soft gloss.
The scent of these glosses is SO yummy! A sugary vanilla scent, that does translate onto the lip but only lasts on the lips for about five minutes.
Both shades I picked up are nicely pigmented & give sheer to medium coverage, that is very buildable.
I love wearing them alone for a more natural coloured glossy lip. Wearing them over a lipstick really gives an extra pop to the look & I like to apply an extra amount of gloss to the centre on the lip to give some extra pout.
  • Peaches & Cream - Deep bubblegum pink.
  • Maple Blondie - Light coral pink , but not as coral as you would expect looking at the packaging (the packaging is supposed to match the gloss).
Left - Maple Blondie
Right - Peaches & Cream
A down point for this product is the lack of staying power. On my lips the colour only lasts about half an hour /forty minutes tops before it fades & then leaves my lips with a subtle gloss, which is a shame. I don't mind reapplying lip products so its not a biggie for me, but this really would be the perfect gloss if it had longer staying power.

Revlon Lip Butter - Pink Lemonade Review & Swatch

Revlon have recently launched four new limited edition shades to there much loved line of Lip Butters - Sorbet, Wild Watermelon, Papaya & Pink Lemonade.

I picked up Pink Lemonade, firstly the cute name drew me in & then I swatched it on my hand & it was a beautiful yellow based pastel pink.

The colour pay off is quite sheer so it does take at least three/four coats to get some colour pay off, but remember this is not a lipSTICK this is a lipBUTTER which is never going to have intense colour pay off . It's not an in your face pastel pink that will wash you out, but a subtle & Dewey light pink perfect for a day look.

I love that it has buildable coverage & applies evenly & smoothly on the lips like a balm, leaving my lips feeling hydrated & soft. The reason it apples so easily is most probably also the reason it isn't very long lasting, two hours max! Which is a shame, but when it wears off it doesn't leave the lips patchy as the lipstick is so buttery & sheer.
This is my new handbag lipstick as it is perfect for on the go no mirror needed application & the beautiful shade will complement any makeup look.

Revlon lip butters, can you do no wrong?!?

My Top 5 Spring Lipsticks

1.Revlon Colourburst lip butter In Berry Smoothie - I tend to wear this when I have a heavier look on my eyes and want a subtle colour on my lips. It is a sheer to medium mauve/pink colour with great shine & the tiniest hint of sparkle in it. Ingredients include mango, shea and coconut butter, so my lips feel super smooth with this on.

2.Mua lipstick shade 16 nectar -  This is more of a orange coral shade, perfect for spring. I do love a good coral lippie & for me this shade is perfect. For just £1 MUA lipsticks have amazing colour pay off & are pretty long lasting too. It has a nice smooth consistency & isn't at all drying on the lips.

3.Rouge Dior In Rose Corolle - A light to medium neutral pink with the tiniest hint of sparkle with a slight sheen & great pigmentation. It isn't to frosty or pale. For me this is the perfect every day pink. It's so smooth on the lips, as are all Dior lipsticks & that's why I love them so.

4.Rouge Dior in Diorama - This is a natural browney burnt orange shade. Perfect for a natural day time look. Highly pigmented & the softest creamiest lipstick I have ever tested or owned.

5.Maybelline Colour Sensational Vivid Lipstick In Shocking Coral - Since buying this I have not stopped wearing it, this has to be my number one fave. It's a Vibrant deep pinky coral, that leans more towards a pink coral than an orange coral. With its bright, rich, pigment it is so super long wearing & leaves a tint on my lips. I can not get over how gorgeous the colour is, I love it.

What are your fave spring lipsticks? What do I need to try out? Come on girls help me spend more money on make up :p.
