Sleek Eau La La Liner 'Venom 295'

When I wear a dark lip I am very conscious of it bleeding or smudging so I do have to wear a lip liner to help out with that problem. I picked up Sleeks 'Eau la la liner' in the shade Venom, which from the packaging looked like it would be a purple berry shade, when in fact when swatched & applied to the lip it is a more red toned dark cherry shade.

I was a little disappointed considering it wasn't the colour I was expecting, but none the less it still worked well lining my berry lipsticks & more red toned ones to.

The longevity of the liner is seriously amazing, it will fade slightly when I'm eating or drinking but other than that it is really budge proof. So with that being said I have actually opted for using this shade as a all over lip colour more often than my actual dark lipies. As I feel safe knowing that it will stay put & won't smudge across my lips. After about an hour or so my lips can start to feel a bit dry from the liner, but I simply apply some lip balm & problem solved.

When I was doing some research into this lip liner I found out that sleek promote the 'eau la la liner' as a multipurpose liner to be used on both the lips and eyes. For hygiene reasons I don't personally like this idea, but for the purpose of testing out the liner I applied it to my eyes & needless to say the red liner made me look like a vampire haha, so great for Halloween but not an everyday look that I would go for.

Sleeks 'eau la la liner' is available in 20 different shades, so plenty to choose from. Also another HUGE selling point for me is that this product is not tested on animals.

Sleek Storm Palette

Sleek eyeshadows are in a league of there own when it comes to drug store eye shadows.

Super pigmented, with a long lasting gorgeous finish that doesn't crease. The texture is extremely smooth & creamy & can be easily applied using a packing brush or fluff brush & extremely blendable too.

This palette in particular is so versatile , it can easily takes me from a light day time look to a dramatic dark smokey evening look.  The shimmery shadow are extremely pigmented in this palette, & have very minimal fall out while the matte shades definitely stay put.

Top Row From Left To Right
  • Shimmery copper gold
  • Shimmery light silvery champagne
  • Matte yellow based brown (perfect for the crease)
  • A true yellow gold
  • Shimmery dusty pink
  • Shimmery burnt auburn
  • True shimmery dark copper with slight golden tinge when the light hits it
  • Shimmery dark silvery blue
  • Shimmery dark bottle green (love love love this shade)
  • Dark shimmery blue with a slight purple tinge. Looks more shimmery when in the palette then when swatched & on the eye.
  • Matte chocolate brown
  • Extremely pigmented dark black (amazing) I would have spent £7.99 just to get a black shadow this pigmented!

If any of you girls are looking to try new eyeshadows & haven't yet tried sleek, I urge you to try them & you can thank me later :)

May Favourites

I do have quite a few faves for the month of May, as the drug store is my second home so I'll try & keep this post short & sweet.

Superdrug Solait Tan Medium/Dark - I made a trip to Superdrug when they had discounts on there fake tan and saw this for a great price. Nice colour after one application with no streaks.
Barry M Gel Polish In Lychee- Not the most long lasting polish (2 days max) but I just love the shade, looks great with a tan.

NYX Blush In Taupe - The most amazing contour shade. A very cool almost gray brown, it give the most natural shadow shade. I must do a review on this because it really is perfect.

Nivea Raspberry Rose Lip Butter - The most delicious smelling lip balm I have ever come across & also very moisturising.

NYX HD Photogenic Concealer -I had been searching for a drug store yellow concealer for ages & with no luck I hit the Internet & stumbled across this beauty. I've been using this as a highlighter under my eyes, down the bridge of my nose & Cupid's bow & it works amazingly.

Smash Box Photo Ready Primer - My holy grail primer, review here

NYX Lip Gloss 28 Whipped - Light pink gloss with great colour pay off when it's first applied, but its not super long lasting. I tend to wear it over a light pink lipstick like Mac Snob.

Rimmel Nude Liner - I am in love with this liner! Glides on smooth and lasts for ages! Makes my lil ol' eyes appear bigger. What is not to love?!
Illamasqua Pure Pigment Furore - A beautiful champagne coloured pigment that I have been using on my eyes & as highlight on the cheek bone, it is stunning!
Sleek Storm Palette - This is my first sleek palette & I am hooked. I now understand the hype around this product. I have been creating so many looks with this palette.
Maybelline Studio Gel Eyeliner In Brown - Recently I have felt that black gel liner is a bit to harsh on me for the day time, so I tried out the brown & love it, I now wear this everyday .

Dainty Doll eyeshadow in Shade 3 - Teach Me Tiger - A gorgeous summery coral for the eyes.
Have you tried any of these products? What are your May faves?
