Baby B Browne Self Tanning Face And Body Lotion

Winter is here and any hint of a summer tan has sadly long gone, so I was super excited when Ireland based company 'Baby B Browne' sent me one of there self tanning lotions to try. I have only ever used the big brand named tans that are stocked in the likes of Boots or Superdrug, so I was interested to see how this would compare.

First thing I did when I received the bottle was open the lid to take a sniff, because as all fake tan lovers know the 'fake tan' smell is the worst! To my surprise the scent was of a strong vanilla scent. I thought this was to good to be true & must develop into the usual fake tan smell when on the skin?! No, when applied & developed it still smells of vanilla.
Baby B Browne suggest as the tan does have a colour guide to use a mitt for application, so I did just that & achieved a nice even colour. The texture of the tan is somewhat similar to a body lotion, it feels thick but not at all sticky & moisturising when on the skin. I have honestly never tried a tanning lotion that felt so smooth & creamy on my skin, it feels lovely.
One application gave me a nice pick me up colour & two applications gave me the beautiful bronzed look I look for in a fake tan.
I looked on the brand site to find out more information on the ingredients of the lotion & firstly found out that Baby B Browne do not test on animals, which is brilliant! I'm all for supporting brands that don't test on animals.
Baby B Browne state that the tan is full of moisturising properties & enriched with aloe vera to help achieve an even fade. So that would explain the body lotion like texture & I do agree that it does have a nice even fade. On me the tan lasted about four days before it started to slowly fade, starting on the inner elbow & cleavage (the usual spots).
In my honest opinion this tan is as good if not better than more well known brand tans I have used. The vanilla scent & it's moisturising properties have won me over.
