NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Powder Sunny

The amount of rave reviews I've read from across the pond of the NYC sunny bronzer, I just had to order myself one to try out. A week after the bronzer arrived from the USA I discovered Superdrug are now stocking the bronzer.....doh!

So the NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny is a very popular drug store bronzer & is said to be a great dupe for Benefits Hoola bronzer but less than half the price.

When swatched side by side the two do look extremely similar, with Hoola being just a smidge darker & smoother to the touch. Sunny is also super pigmented so make sure to use a light hand. When applied to the face I think that NYC sunny bronzer can easily lean to the orange side if applied to heavily or not blended well enough. With a light hand & thin applications it does give a nice natural matte bronze to the face.

My all time fave drugstore bronzer is In fact also by NYC & is there

Sun N Bronze Bronzing Powder in the shade 'montauke bronze'. Comparing the two together, 'Montauk Bronze' comes out on top for me. Even with its slight shimmer, I think it's easier to apply & never sways to the orange side. I opt for this bronzer over my Hoola bronzer any day.

So to round up, as Its hard to come by a good matte bronzer in the drug store & for such a reasonable price NYC Sunny is worth a try. I wouldn't rave about it like i do my 'Montauk Bronze', but then it's also not the worst bronzer I've tried.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Lipstick - Nude Beige

Yves Saint Laurent 'Rouge Volupte' lipsticks are a thing of sheer luxury, from the elegant gold case to the buttery soft lipstick itself. When you pull one of these bad boys out of your purse you're sure to turn heads.

Yves Saint Laurent 'Rouge Volupte' lipsticks come in a wide range of colours from light pinks to dark berry shades. I own #1 'Nude Beige'.

'Nude Biege' is a beautiful pinky beige shade, that is extremely  flattering on the lip. The cream formula literally glides onto the lips like butter, and that is no exaggeration! It feels so light, smooth & nourishing on the lips & the intense shine it leaves makes my lips appear plumper. These lipsticks are so highly pigmented it is insane, one swipe is all you need. Another bonus of this lipstick is that it has SPF 15.

One down side is that due to its super creamy formula it isn't very long lasting, but with packaging that beautiful & a formula that smooth I really don't mind reapplying.

The golden packaging is so stunning with its little window showing the shade inside & little YSL logos dotted around. It has nice weight to it also, making it feel that bit more luxurious. They look so beautiful displayed along a makeup vanity table.

I can't sing its praises enough, this lipstick is a must have for me.

Ted Baker Silver Lining Nail Duo

I think it's safe to say us Brits do love a bit of Ted Baker. So when I found out that Ted Baker had released a range of nail polishes I was rather excited but may I add a little dubious!? Being a Beauty therapist I can be a bit of a polish snob, I'm very up on my formulas & definitely know what I like & want from a polish. So did this tick the boxes for me?

Firstly I was so impressed by the adorable sweet shop inspired packaging, with its pink & rose gold scalloped canopy! But would we expect anything less from Ted Baker?!
There are two polishes inside, both with a lustrous metallic shimmer finish;
'Delightfully Dusk' a light dusky pink.
'Silver Lining' a true opaque silver.
Each polish has a fantastic formula that applies smoothly with not one streak in sight. You can even get away with one coat of polish, as the formula is so concentrated.  I also love the fact that they dry very quickly & last me around four days before the tip starts to show wear.

For me these polishes really do compare to my higher end ones & kept in there cute packaging they look so adorable displayed on my vanity table.

Mac Pro Conceal & Correct Palette 'Light'

If like me you love a good concealer, then the 'Mac Pro Conceal & Correct Palette' is heaven in a palette. The 'Pro Conceal and Correct Palette's' are available in 4 variations – Light, Medium, Medium Deep and Dark. Each palette consists of 4 shades of Studio Finish Concealers and 2 shades of Studio Finish Correctors.

I own the Light palette which has NC15, W10, NC20 and NW20 concealers & two Studio Finish Corrector shades in Pale Yellow and Pale Pink.

My skin tone is a NC25 so in the colder months when My skin is looking paler the NC20 & NW20 work well for concealing blemishes, but for the most part I use this palette for highlighting. So if you're the same skin tone as me & are looking to purchase a The 'Pro Conceal and Correct Palette' to use solely for concealing I would suggest going up a shade & buying Medium.
The Studio Finish concealers are a medium to full cream concealer. That are quite thick but are very easily blended into the skin & then feel weightless. All shades in the palette are enriched with antioxidants and suited for all skin types. They work perfectly at covering blemishes but also work well with the eye area to conceal dark circles. I've heard complaints from others that it settles into their fine lines around the eye, but I find that if it's buffed into my skin well & set with a good powder I get little to no creasing. The pigmentation of all the shade is fantastic & they last well on the skin.
