Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Lightweight Primer

If you're a regular reader of my blog you will know that I am huge fan of the Smashbox photo finish primer, well it seems that Maybelline baby skin may have taken over the number one spot.

Maybelline baby skin primer is a silicon based clear gel. When applied to the skin it makes it feel super soft & can be easily blended into the skin (I use a pea sized amount for the whole face). It immediately blurs my pores, mattify's my skin and smooths over dry patches. So for a day when you don't want to wear makeup but need a little something on your face to blur imperfection & give you skin a boost this does the trick.
When using baby skin as a primer, I like to let it rest on my face for a minute or so until it sinks into my skin & I can see the true effects of the primer. The primer helps for a smooth foundation application & a even finish.
For the price of just £7.99 Baby Skin primer has really wowed me, it's not a miracle worker but it is pretty amazing for the price. It doesn't make my foundation move around, get oily or patch up in dry areas as some would think a silicon based primer would do.
I really do struggle to see a difference between this & the smashbox photo finish primer, which is a lot more money than the £7.99 you pay for the Baby a Skin primer.

  5. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about this primer. I'm not a fan of silicone based primers though, I much prefer the one's that are like light crèmes.

  8. I've heard so many bloggers and beauty gurus talk about this primer but for whatever reason I'm still skeptical. Maybe it's because I hate the baby lips balms so much and that I'm very picky with what goes on my face, however your review makes me want to take a second look at this primer.

  16. Use a mild, gentle cleanser and apply moisturizer after washing. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated too. Being well hydrated is good for both the health and appearance of your skin. Soap-free facial or body wash and water offer one easy way to cleanse your skin.
