Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - Review

Excitement!!! I have FINALLY found a powder that keeps my combination skin matte! In my 23 years I have never found a powder that lives up to the hype (yes I have been wearing makeup since birth :/) and this most definitely does. After hearing so many rave reviews from other beauty blogs and vlogs I finally caved under peer pressure and made the purchase, and I am so glad I did (why it took me so long I do not know) I have been using Rimmel stay matte powder for over a month now and it will definitely be a staple in my everyday makeup routine from here onwards.
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder In Translucent

Rimmel claim that the powder has up to 5 hours natural shine control with natural minerals and helps minimize the appearance of pores, I totally agree.

I apply this powder over my foundation using my Eco Tools Bamboo Powder Brush in the morning and can go out for the day with confidence that I won't get a shiny t-zone on my combinations skin halfway through the day. I suffer from large pores on my nose and I do think that when using this powder they appear minimized .
I have been using the transparent shade as I don't want any extra color payoff on top of my foundation. It does make my face look ever so slightly paler so for girls with darker skin maybe a coloured powder would work best for you.

Right - Without Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

It blends into the skin nicely and doesn't sit on top of the skin creating another layer like many other drug store powders do.
If the sun decides to make an appearance in the U.K at any point this spring then maybe one top up through the day may be needed, but I am so glad I found it in time for summer to avoid that dewy/sweaty glow (ain't nobody got time for that!)
Check out THAT pose
With Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

The packaging is your typical basic drug store powder casing, but is secure when closed so I don't worry about the lid coming off when inside my bag. For a product that is just £3.99 and literally does what it says on the tin you can not moan.

Rimmel Stay Matt Powder is available in 6 shades.
*transparent
*pink blossom
*peach glow
*sand storm
*silky beige
*warm beige

£3.99 in drugstores and supermarkets. How can you say no to that price?!

What do you think? Do you already own this product? Thinking about trying it out?
